If you care about your nerves and money, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! Let's start at the beginning. Settlement is hell. They kept it in the lobby for TWO HOURS, even though the room was ready. But these “merchants” decided to extort extra payments knowing full well that the room was already paid for on a no-cost basis and that we were business trips. They were told clearly that there would be no surcharge. But who cares? They stood there like fools while they tried to rip us off! Next, the circus continues. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STAY, A CHAIR JUST GONE FROM THE ROOM! Yes, yes, imagine: it's there in the morning, it's not there in the evening. When asked “what happened?”, they shrug their shoulders and act as if this were the norm. Apparently, the inn decided that the guests had too many facilities! But the main scam is the storage of fish and seafood. Everyone knows full well that in Sakhalin it's business as usual. But this inn decided it would make money. Storage is now charged a rate DEPENDING ON THE KILOGRAMS! But that's not all - you want to put something in their fridge? BUY THEM PACKETS. Bottom line – “flew in” by 1500 rubles simply because they decided to make money from every sneeze! We used to come to this hotel for a project, worked for three years under an arrangement with E_o's master. But there was a “genius” new manager, A.Y.E., from Moscow – and everything went downhill. This lady thought she was the god of commerce and all customer arrangements were nothing. If her new employers are reading this, know this man will ruin your business. The overall condition of the hotel is miserable. Old, tired, furniture killed. The staff, imitating their manager, became arrogant and detached – any favor is now for money. Well, the cherry on the cake is a hotel opposite the cemetery. Yeah, that's the posh location you're paying for. If after that you still have the desire to move in here - penalize yourself. I warned you.

We booked a hotel for a family of 4 people for the New Year holidays, in August 2023. We offered a standard room with two beds (1.5 and 2 bedrooms). They announced the cost of 7-8 thousand per day. Upon arrival (December 29) they announced the cost of almost 12 thousand!!! Let me emphasize - the number is Standard. In fact, 1 single and 1 double bed. In a cramped room with lousy heating. On top of that - Dirty bathroom!!! To the question - why did the price jump so much?... They answered that they decided to raise it from January 1st. Although there was a price list on the counter, signed by the director with a completely different price. After the flight and looking at the night, we decided to spend the night here. In the morning we moved to the hotel opposite. The room is 2 times larger, with two large beds, more Cozy and Warm and 2!!! times cheaper. It’s very sad that the Mira Hotel has gone downhill like this... I don’t recommend it!

Hotel is nicely situated in a residential area. Getting in to the hotel is a little challenging during winter months with lots of snow. Great walking and cross county skiing trails just up the road. Hotel room was nice, beds are low to the ground but mattress desperately need to be replaced. Bedding and pillows were nice and comfortable. Room sometimes smelled like coal though. Restaurant was good and food was nicely served and good portions. Free Breakfast was a plus. There are also several other restaurants within walking distance if you so desire. Also lots of markets to pickup other items Hotel has a very nice pool and exercise room - very relaxing and nice break at the end of the day. The staff at this hotel is amazing - very nice and friendly
