Hotel Intourist Stavropol

We traveled and stayed here back in 2003 and what a dump. Since then they have updated everything. Its like a whole new place. New beds, new everything. The food is now edible, unlike before. Seems much more safe than before as well.

The internet service is a sham. First of all it is only available in the lobby and second of all it doesn't work. We relied on Skype as our source of communication back to our friends and family back home. The hotel blamed the service provider but the service provider said they were up all over town so it was a problem with the hotel's configuration (the service provider was right). We had to move hotels after the first night and the Intourist charged us for all four nights. There is a beautiful hotel with wifi in each room near the center of town. It is closer to shopping and restaurants.

Room clean,warm and nice.Visited with my wife,she is from Stavropol, and stepdaughter .Was November,absolutely freezing outside,snow and rain.Facilities in hotel fine.One problem was food.No western,or what I would have been used to.Breakfast was so bad and the same every morning that even my wife gave up on it after 5 days.
