We are currently staying at the Riviera Hotel Kazan. In general the hotel is good, the rooms are comfortable, the staff is polite, the rest was pleasant... but unfortunately we faced a very unpleasant situation. After visiting the water park, our child got a lot of skin rubbed with a life jacket. By evening, severe tightening, burning and pain had appeared. The baby is really in pain. We made a simple request to the front desk to give D-panthenol or any first aid. Turns out the hotel doesn't even have a basic first aid kit. The question arises: how can a hotel with many families with children and its own water park lack a minimum first aid package? We were also not offered any assistance — for example, to contact the water park's medical unit (which was still operating at the time) or to assist in any way with the matter. Okay, we adults -- I, for example, started having a severe allergic reaction to chlorine after the water park, and I'm willing to endure. But when it comes to a child, you want at least minimal help and involvement from the hotel. I believe that having a first aid kit and basic first aid supplies is a mandatory minimum for a hotel of this level. We very much hope that the management will pay attention to this point and reconsider the organization of guest assistance. The impression of a vacation, unfortunately, is greatly undermined by this.

Unnecessarily expensive, spitting on the front desk. In the water park, the joint changing room for men and women surprises with its discomfort

Good time of day, everyone!)))) October holiday week, travel to some cities/oblasts, republics. Two adults and a daughter 12 years old. From 29 October to 1 November they rested in Kazan, this time staying at the Riviera Hotel. Standard room No. 902 (panoramic window to the Lehman Pro parking lot and hypermarket), all-inclusive rate: unlimited water park, accommodation and breakfast. The hotel is modern, 23 floors, panoramic windows/lift. The uniform styling on the floors and the colour scheme of the interior were observed. Its own big free parking lot. Located on the banks of the Kazanka River, during the summer period its beach and outdoor pools/water attractions function. Concerning attractions - only transportation accessibility. And so the infrastructure is developed. The room is small, but cozy, clean, not "tired", everything necessary for a full holiday is available. Spacious bathroom. Pay-per-view minibar, free bottled water. Soundproofing is perfectly fine (no neighbours, no doors slamming, no noise from the street). Cleaning/changing towels daily, but to be honest - do not see the need (no dirt, no sand, most of the time guests spend outside the hotel), sure no one at home bothers daily with this issue))) Wi-fi is not so good, drags on intermittently. Large restaurant on the 1st floor with 3 zones: Lobby (upholstered furniture), Amoré, Veranda. Breakfast buffet (what is there..., see photo). For fans to eat/drink densely and much – split, you can stay at the table until the restaurant closes))) Everything is more than enough and everything is delicious. Surely you won't stay hungry)))) The restaurant staff like bees: everything is fast, clear, clean. The water park is one of the largest in Russia and by the way the only one in the Republic of Tatarstan (here come from all the nearest regions and republics, people.......the apple has nowhere to fall......). For visitors from the street - separate entrance. For hotel guests - entrance from the lobby of the 1st floor: check in, receive magnetic bracelets (adult denomination 10,000 rubles, fine for loss - 11,000 rubles); further on the 2nd floor you receive the key to the locker (for bathrobes/towels and personal belongings); through the glass decorated with live flowers corridor pass to the water park itself. The water park is large, all inland swimming pools/slides/water rides/saunas/bars function out of season. But, again, people............ The hotel can be safely recommended to lovers of noisy, outdoor activities (there is always some kind of traffic, conferences, corporate/party, life boils over). But those who prefer calm and quiet are better off choosing something less populated. Cons of the hotel that guests face: 1. ELEVATORS!!! There are 3, but the load of the hotel can not cope with the word at all!!! Especially during rush hour, people stand for half an hour and then walk up the stairs (by the way, at the elevators even a sign is posted so guests use the stairs). On one day only 2 of the 3 lifts were working – no comments at all.... It's okay to get down/up from the low floors... And from the high floors?! Since the 9th we have still come down, and daily in the morning, but it is hard to get up... Guests with any health problems - not an option at all.... 2. RESTAURANT. Three zones, I think, but again, the load is overwhelming. Tables/chairs are literally on top of each other (very tight arrangement, do not move/spread, lean against neighbor). Again morning rush hour - there is not enough seating, guests from the entrance "catch" tables... 3. WATER PARK. Children/teens under 18 years of age are allowed in the outdoor heated swimming pool and wave only in life jackets. Rescuers are watching this moment clearly (not even a mouse will skip). And try on the floorboard find on the 18-year-old "uncle/aunt" vest, quest))))))))) All little ones. For the most part, teenagers at this age can already swim. And the pools you have, compared to Peter/Moscow, are not so powerful. It would be advisable to change the age category to, say, 12. It was going anywhere else... Another important point caught the eye... In the Jacuzzi and some pools, babies without diapers/special panties for the pool (shin pants) were seen. At this point, for some reason, the water park workers turn a blind eye ... A small child can empty uncontrollably at any time. Then what?! Huge queues of water tubing were also noticed. Why not buy them more?! Financially and security-wise, you don't lose anything. And the downtime of guests in line will be reduced)). 4. PARKING!!! It's packed 24/7... even the wheelchairs are occupied by cars without benefits. That's it for now. I lowered my grade for global cons. If you have any questions, write to me. All health, kindness and life positivity!!!
