As the mother of the groom, I dreamed of my son's wedding day for years. Unfortunately, the wedding coordination at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino was one of the biggest disappointments of our lives.
Our families traveled from all over the world to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event. Instead, guests were left standing outside in the heat until the bride's mother and I insisted the reception area be opened. During the ceremony, the officiant repeatedly blocked the photographer's view, leaving many of the professional photos and videos we paid for obstructed forever.
The most disappointing part wasn't that mistakes happened—it's that after months of trying to resolve our concerns, no meaningful accountability or goodwill gesture was ever offered. We were simply told the resort had fulfilled its contractual obligations.
You only get one wedding day. We can't get ours back.
