Excellent place very friendly people , warm hospitality and respectful people, reception staff very helpful people and recognize their customers

I had a very comfortable and particularly satisfying three-day stay at the New Madinah Hotel recently. As an IHG Diamond Elite member, I was upgraded to a suite which was very spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable. The hotel is at an excellent location within easy walking distance of Masjid-e-Nabawi. This is a major advantage for anyone visiting Madinah for religious reasons. Madinah has four IHG properties near the Masjid-e-Nabawi. I have stayed at the other three IHG properties in the city and have always had excellent experiences. This property is billed as a three-star hotel, whereas the others are positioned as five-star properties, but I found the service here to be on par with the three IHG five-star hotels. It really is an excellent hotel. The staff at the New Madinah Hotel is truly great. I found members of the staff to be warm, caring, sincere, and highly effective. I did face a few issues at the very beginning of my stay, but I appreciate that my concerns were taken seriously and the issues were resolved very quickly. I would especially like to acknowledge Mohamed Sarfaraz, Abdulrahman Alghamdi, and Abdulraheem Bakhsh for their professionalism and personal involvement. Their efforts made a meaningful difference, and the remainder of my stay was very comfortable and pleasant. I would also like to recognize Barkat, Ali, Irfan, and Chef Ahmed from the restaurant, Muhammad Shafiq from Engineering, and Chef Siraj from Room Service. They took very good care of me. The food at the hotel is one of its strengths. I enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet daily and found room service to be excellent. The stay was very pleasant and comfortable, and allowed me to focus on the spiritual nature of my trip. I plan to stay at the New Madinah Hotel again and highly recommend the hotel.

Very old dilapidated furniture. No electric plugs near beds. Very noisy. The mall right next door makes a very loud humming noise. The hotel star designation invites a level of patrons who do not respect other’s desire for peace and quiet. The bathtub is so high you risk falling off when trying to come out of the shower. Extremely over priced for what the hotel offers. I would have given this hotel one star but Barakat and Ali at the breakfast buffet deserve 5 stars. Everything else about this hotel leaves a lot to be desired.
