Movenpick Al Khaobar

After more than twenty years of traveling across the world, I am genuinely shocked that a property operating under an international name like Mövenpick Hotel Al Khobar can deliver service this poor. The overall experience was deeply disappointing and far below even basic expectations of hospitality. Room service simply does not function. I kept calling for two straight days and no one answered. Housekeeping was no better. The phone rang endlessly with no response. Operator is cold, no sense of support did not help either apart from saying ohh i reminded room service or housekeeping team again. . Calling two or three times in a row made no difference. It was absolute zero service with no sense of urgency or accountability from anyone. Apart from this , location is very pure right next to the road, you can hear the cars in your room, not easy asleep. The amenities in the room doesn’t like press. I had to call three times to get it replaced. I do not recommend this hotel at all. You are better off staying in a small guest house or even a hostel where at least someone answers the phone. I will also be advising my colleagues, our corporate administration team, and our travel desk not to use this hotel again and to remove it entirely from our approved list of properties, hope they will consider my recommendations. I am just worried i still have to stay 2 more days here. Its gonna be a challenge for sure.

The team are great, helpful and happy to attend your needs, hotel is maintained and worth the price, the location is very advantageous

We ate at the seafood night at The Blue. The manager, Nisar, made sure that we get the table that I pre requested. Once there the servers Mr Helal, Ganesh, Seraz and even Chef Anis made us feel well taken cared of.. They even gave in to our request of impromptu birthday cake bec we just learned that one of us just celebrated his birthday. We go back to The Blue a lot not just of the food, but also for the attentiveness of the staff.
