Habakuk

Overall, Hotel Habakuk is a good hotel with one major downside. The reception staff gave me a warm welcome and were genuinely friendly. The room was a pleasant surprise: clean, comfortable, and offering excellent value for money. The swimming pool is spacious and well organized. Unfortunately, the dinner buffet was a huge disappointment. The restaurant staff were unfriendly, and within two minutes of sitting down I was already asked whether I wanted to pay by card or cash. At €30 per person (excluding drinks), I expected much more. The buffet seems to be mainly focused on the international sports teams staying at the hotel. The selection was very limited, the food was lukewarm, and the overall experience simply wasn't worth the price. I would happily stay at Hotel Habakuk again, but I would definitely skip the dinner buffet.

We stayed here for an event in Maribor. If you have a need to be in the city center this is nit the best place unless you have a car. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Maribor, right at the slopes. The rooms are large and clean. Automation goes a little far as i. Curtains opening and closing when you enter the room. Tv wasn’t working but got fixed quickly. Rooms are warm but keeping the windows open helped during the night. Breakfast is buffet style and is OK. We were there early each day so it was not too busy. Dinner is buffer or a la cart. Buffet is OK-ish but i would expect more. A la cart dinner was pretty good with nice steaks. Drinks in the bar are higher than average in Slovenia.

Hotel in good location and good facilities. Food unfortunately of poor quality and for a 4 star superior too little choice. Service in the restaurant unfortunately not particularly trained. In the room no minibar with drinks!
