Don Johannesburg International Airport

This airport has SO FEW plugs for recharging devices. Many don’t even work. (Emirates Airlines won’t let you use their area’s plugs if you are flying another airline.) Frustrating before a 12 hour flight. For Pete’s sake get with the times.

My first visit was one of a kind where I was treated like the only client.

This was our first hotel, after staying at guesthouses. The rooms were spacious and included all the normal suite amenities. The quality of the rooms, staff, and facilities is where this place fails. There was mold in the shower, the staff knew little about the hotel and area and it almost seemed to be a chore for them to serve dinner in the "restaurant". The only way the noise is acceptable is if you get and interior room, if you are on the front of the hotel you get nothing but highway traffic noise all night. Finally, the shuttle service was an experience in itself, basically its a man in a Nissan who picks you up and drops you off for about 100 Rand.
