Leriba Hotel & Spa

I was booked once by my travel agency SILVERSEA JOURNEYS, they recommended leriba hotel and proved to me that they mainly use for business clients and I must say your place is quiet,neat,the breakfast and dinner very beautiful and tasty your staff is absolutely excellent

I stayed at Leriba for two nights recently on business. Hemingways Restaurant was a disaster with very bland steaks, underdone pork belly and inflated prices. Lighting in the restaurant is so bad that I had to use my cell phone to read the menu. It was then that I noticed the dirty tablecloth and cutlery with the paper menus dirty and torn. The waiters really try hard and did well at service but they are rudderless in a sinking ship to my mind. The business suites located above the restaurant are dated and not clean. The carpets were sticky and in need of a good wash. Air conditioning was a struggle and had to set temperatures to 17 deg C to get any sense of cooling in the room. Then the main reason why I will not go back. I noticed a VERY inebriated person in slops and shorts making a nuisance of himself at dinner and at a wine-pairing that was held at the restaurant. I was told it was the owner of Leriba Lodge but I cannot confirm this. The person treated his restaurant managers and waiters really badly and guests were visibly embarrassed by his antics - so was I. I cringed while watching this person stumble through the tables to eventually take control of the microphone to interrupt dinner service. This was a real shame. He was back the next afternoon after which I promptly left... I suspect when management gets involved in this manner it won't be long before customers will stay away.

I stayed here previously. This was my previous review: The rooms are very rustic and they sure can do with an upgrade. My shower were also gruby with soap scum. Does not feel like 4 star. The breakfast was lacking in variety but they accommodated what we asked for(vegetarian and vegan). Outside the rooms it is a stunning venue. When i gave the feedback i was told they were going to renovate. This time i stayed in a renovated room. Only 10 rooms got air-con and out of my party of 4 i was the only one who got a room with air-con. Bathroom still gross. Same furniture and old carpet? Old rusted fridge. Renovated? If adding 10 air cons counts as renovating then i don’t know. It is a stunning venue during the day but we felt unsafe walking back to our rooms after dinner with the garden being very dark and not signed showing where to go. My friends had to ask for different rooms as their rooms where dirty. Reception was very unfriendly and unhelpful. I will make sure my company does not stay here again. Will give always give a second go but Leriba failed horribly. Not recommended!
