This is the second time ive stayed at this hotel this year,the first time was in January.I had booked 2 nights through Expedia at approx R1800 a night to be paid on arrival.When I arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning,I was told at reception that there was no such price on offer and that it would cost me over R2500 per night ....being weary and it being almost 1 am.I had no choice but to pay the extra. Apart from that.although the hotel is a bit antiquated.my stay was pleasant enough.pricey for the ameneties.but doable.The breakfast left a lot to be desired,as I am gluten free (which they do not cater for),all I could have was eggs and sausages,pork sausages,no choice. The stay in June was much the same,except this time I very much noticed a drop in service standards and the amount of noise caused by the staff. At one point,sitting in thr bar area,I thought there was a fight going on in the dining area but it was only the waiters and waitresses shouting insults jokingly across the room at each other fotr the whole neigborhood to hear.Another thing I noticed was the forming of little cliques of the staff forming to have loud gossip sessions in the presence of guests.The bar also needs tightening as lengthy waits to be served are not uncommon with the bartender frequently leaving the bar unattended to dissappear into the back for no apparent reason.

Attended a conference here and it couldn’t have gone smoother. The conference rooms were spacious and we even had dedicated breakout rooms, which made group work so much easier. Everything tech-wise worked perfectly, and for the one thing that didn’t, assistance was offered immediately — no stress, no delays. The food was amazing and the staff were just as impressive: attentive, proactive, and professional throughout. Truly a venue I’d choose again for another session without hesitation. As a speaker, the room they gave me was beautifully spacious. Loved it.

My husband and I stayed overnight, we noticed at night there is too much noise, loud noises, we were unable to relax in good sleep for a long flight the next day. If you are tired and want to have a good sleep, I do not recommend, otherwise staff are friendly and everything was neat. Thank you
