The Palazzo Montecasino Hotel

Wonderful experience at the palazzo. A very courteous and helpful staff with a beautiful and well maintained property. Incredible breakfast service.

Excellent hotel, in a very good area and with easy access to a complex with shops, restaurants and the Casino. The hotel is old, but very nice, including the bathroom. We were very well accommodated. Not the closest hotel to the center of Johannesburg that you can find, but a short drive from Uber gets anywhere. We felt very safe.

We stayed here at the end of a wonderful, whirlwind safari trip and it was the PERFECT place to relax and unwind. The hotel is stunning, and feels like you've been transported to Italian luxury. The food was great too. In the complex is an exotic bird garden - not to be missed!!! And the casino across the street has so many delicious restaurants and wonderful shops selling African designers and local artisan jewelry as well as international fashion. It really is the perfect base for relaxing or exploring.
