The Westford Hotel

Overall impression, felt not well kept. overpriced bottle of water to buy. No bottled water in room. Toilet roll holder came off in my hand. Fridge made loud noise through the night. Breakfast way over priced for what you get.

The hotel is located close to Nelson Mandela square. About 8 minutes walk. The hotel is quite large with spacious rooms, has a kitchen with toaster stove and microwave. It has a swimming pool and gym. Breakfast is charged the part. The shower is good.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Mint Hotel. A huge part of my stay was made special by the incredible staff especially the bellman/porter Lucky, and the waitstaff at Pablo restaurant: Brian, Joe, and John. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and warm smiles truly made every day memorable. My room was spacious, spotless, and very calm. I barely heard the neighbors, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping everything clean and comfortable throughout my stay. Pablo restaurant was another highlight. The waitstaff were exceptional, friendly, welcoming, and genuinely delightful to interact with. The chefs did a fantastic job each day, offering a diverse and extensive menu that caters to a wide range of dietary needs. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of options available. The relaxed and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant made it a perfect place to unwind. Lucky at the hotel deserves a special mention as well. He was friendly, kind, and genuinely welcoming, making check-in and interactions around the hotel an absolute pleasure. Another great feature is the hotel’s location. Nelson Mandela Square is just a 10-minute walk or a 2–3 minute drive away, making it convenient if you want to go out for meals, drinks, or some shopping. Overall, my stay at the Mint Hotel was excellent. I would gladly return if I visit South Africa again. The combination of comfortable rooms, exceptional service, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere made it a truly memorable experience.
