We stayed 2 night at this hotel as were looking for a couple of nights to relax during a busy visit with family. It was just what we needed - quiet room, very comfortable bed and pillows and lovely sea view. The room had everything we needed and I loved being able to open the little balcony for fresh air and have a fridge to use. The pool area was well kept and very relaxing to sit at over our 2 days there.
Breakfast was well above the standard of any Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed in the UK/Europe, offering plenty to choose from each morning. We also had a great meal at the Butchers Block restaurant which is just next to the hotel, it was outstanding.
The hotel is very well located only a few minutes drive from Umhlanga and an easy walk to Gateway shopping centre.
What made this hotel special were the team, every person we met was just so friendly and helpful, offering to make your stay better any way they could. They consistently thanked me for my loyalty as an IHG Gold Member and made us feel so welcome and looked after - well done team!!
