Garden Court Umhlanga

I would most definitely recommend Garden Court uMhlanga - we had an amazing experience. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Location is great, and it has such a welcoming atmosphere. Probably the friendliest staff ever, Wish, at the reception desk, was extremely polite - we wanted to stay an extra two nights ( 9 days in total ). He also gave us three vouchers to UShaka Marine World. Definitely worth our money. It wasn’t noisy at all - especially after 21:00. Amenities include: An ice machine; A gym; Free breakfast ( Mnandi ); Buffet R250 per person, R125 per child ( Mnandi ); Parking for residents, and casual parking; Ukuphela Bar; Room service; Pool area - pool is heated up to a temperature of 30 degrees, only for residents; On Christmas Day, there is a Christmas buffet. Father Christmas will be visiting between 8am and 10am; There are pool towels that are free, if lost, you pay R350; There will be activities from the 23rd of December onwards; There will be Kids’ pizza making classes, 24th, 27 and 29 December, at 13:00; Medical and first aid at reception. Spent the weekend of the 8th at GCU. They were exceptional. They made it so special for my hubby's birthday celebration and our anniversary. The room had a beautiful view of the ridge. Being a germophobe, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. They deserve every award achieved for cleanliness. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and the waiters are very kind and accommodating with kids. We ordered hot chocolates before bedtime and these were the most delicious cups we have had in a while. Awesome hotel and great value for money. Would definitely return. My only suggestion is to offer complimentary water in the rooms, with the current state of municipal water.

Part of an old favorite hotel group that kept its quality. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathrooms better than most. Breakfast was great and service really good. Heated swimming pool a winner. Very central and close to very good restaurants and Gateway mall! Loved our stay and worth it!
