Sabi River Sun

Our stay at Sabie River Sun Resort was absolutely amazing, with beautiful rooms, delicious food, and exceptional hospitality. Every part of the safari exceeded our expectations and created memories we'll cherish forever. A huge thank you to Humulani Africa Travel for arranging such a seamless and unforgettable experience. We have been visiting Sabi River Sun for more than 30 years, and it is deeply disappointing to see what has happened to the pricing at this once family-friendly resort. The drink prices are completely unreasonable and feel exploitative. Charging R46 for a small can of Coke is absurd by any standard, especially in South Africa. It leaves guests feeling taken advantage of rather than welcomed. Over the years we have happily supported this resort and recommended it to friends and family, but the current pricing policy has completely changed the experience. When basic refreshments are priced at these levels, it sends a message that guest value and loyalty no longer matter. The resort itself still has a beautiful setting, but the excessive pricing has seriously damaged what used to be a relaxing and enjoyable holiday destination. Sadly, our discussions with the management team were equally disappointing. Rather than acknowledging guest concerns, we were simply told that the pricing is “head office policy.” After more than 30 years of loyalty, that response says everything about how little customer feedback now seems to matter.

Arriving from the UK to SA for vacation, I opted to spend a few days in Hazyview to visit the Park. During my stay at Sabi River Sun, we were met with the most professional and hospitable service from Agnes. It was peak times and Agnes made a concerted effort to make us feel the festive feeling in spite of the busy restaurant. I saw this service applied to me, but also consistently to other guests too. In spite of the busy, peak times at the restaurant, Agnes added personal touches with her bright personality and intellectual conversational skills, that made our stay there memorable. Agnes you are an incredible asset to the hospitality industry.
