Metcourt At Rio

The restaurant’s butternut soup, labeled as the soup of the day, took 48 minutes to arrive and was disappointing, either too salty or overloaded with pepper, making it one of the worst butternut soups I’ve had. I think they should take it off the menu.

I made a request to have Vegan sausages for breakfast the following day. I told the then chef and the following day she gave me an attitude and told me they only have pork and beef sausages, so "what is she supposed to do" with no care at all. I'm never coming back to this establishment.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving at 3PM with a rental car and parking in front. A receptionist copied my passport, checked our prepaid voucher and handed our key card. We took the elevator to the 2nd floor. Room #228 was tiled and a bit tight with the oddest bathroom layout; an overall curtain enclosure, then a single glass door alternating between the toilet and the tiled shower. In the bedroom, a comfortable king was across a long desk with a chair, hot pot, 1 chargeable outlet and large satellite TV(Al Jazeera, CNN, SABC, Sky, 2 movies, 6 sports and 19 more channels). Nice hot water, good open WIFI and a quiet room with windows opening to the large Casino parking lot. The 6AM serviced breakfast buffet in the lobby dining room was excellent; OJ, fruits, yogurt, muesli, breads, cheese, egg station, many hot meats, beans, mushrooms, muffins and regular coffee. This 70 room hotel is adjacent to the Rio Casino and its large Convention Center hall.
