Protea Hotel Mafikeng

Protea Hotel Mafeking was built in 2005, and offers 99 rooms over 3 floors, a restaurant, a pool and secure parking. Furnishings and decoration provide a business atmosphere. Service is friendly and helpful. Our room had desk & chair, tea facility & fridge, wardrobe & safe, and a good kingsize bed. Window can open. We had a separate bathroom with washbasin, shower & toilet. All was very clean. There is a good buffet breakfast: eggs made to order, cold cuts & cheeses, breads & toast, cereals & fruits, milk & yoghurts, juices & preserves, rolls & croissants, tea & coffee. You can have your breakfast inside or at the terrace next to the pool. Protea Hotel Mafeking is a comfortable hotel and we had a good stay. Recommended.

We were WOKEN up by NOISY people outside of the rooms at the parking in the early hours of the morning of 25th October 2025. We're booked into room 307 for one night 24 to 25th October 2025. This interrupted our sleep as we had to call reception about the noise by others.

From the Security personnel at the gate to the front desk personnel, everyone is very friendly and willing to help,... They have a fast and stable wifi connection,.. My room pictures about Mafikeng's history, it was enlightening and informative,...
