ARABELLA HOTEL & SPA

We had a wonderful experience as a family. The food was enjoyable, the service provided by our waiter was exceptional, and the scenery created a very pleasant atmosphere. There did appear to be a communication breakdown regarding our reservation. Although our booking was on the system, it had not been allocated to the correct venue/table as specified in the email correspondence. Three staff members approached us regarding the matter before someone eventually took the initiative to seat us. Upon arriving at our table, it was still being prepared. Tables were being moved and cutlery rearranged while we stood waiting, with one staff member handling the setup on her own. My mother-in-law even assisted by clearing part of the table to help the staff member complete the preparations. That said, this did not detract significantly from our overall experience. The quality of the food, service, and setting more than made up for the inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly be returning.

I have just come back from a long weekend at the Arabella. Which we have been coming to for years as a quick getaway which isn't too far out of cpt. Sadly this hotel is crying for help. The decor is out dated. Some staff who cleans your rooms are unfriendly and the hotel food was unwhelming. Especially for those prices. Let's start with the decor for the past 20 years even the chandeliers in lobby was never changed. The art work is old and out dated. The seating either needs to cleaned or changed. The reception area carpet was even worse. The cupboards were broken and carpets were actually black and were never cleaned. The rooms carpets as well as the wall way carpets looked like they needed a good clean. Sausage at the breakfast was terrible and the pastries where never freshly baked. Supper lacked flavor. A simple pepper sauce with your steak tasted like the bottom of a gravy pot. Pizzas were even worse. Also perhaps add in lighter meals to the supper menu as well. As not everyone wants a heavy meal at night. Arabella I sincerely hope that with your new GM you can be steered in the right direction. And that you can be uplifted again to your once glorious self again.

Arrived early Monday as my partner was playing golf about 11.20am. Met by Patrick at the reception desk who personally ensured I was checked in and upgraded by 10am to a lagoon view room. This meant I had somewhere to go and change whilst my partner went off to golf. The hotel has super spa facilities, indoor hydro pool with sauna and steam room and a massive outdoor pool. We enjoyed dinner in the hotel and a super breakfast the next morning. We will be back to Arabella again, the golf was superb too. Thanks again Patrick for making our stay so comfortable.
