Rented a two-bed, two-bath apartment for a couple of nights as a stopover between Cape Town and George. The apartment is spacious and clean, and both upstairs and downstairs balconies had lovely views of the ocean and the Kleinrivier Mountains. The property is 2 short blocks from the Hermanus Waterfront, and is conveniently placed above the Hermanus Station Mall. The second bathroom had no towels, and staff were quick to remedy the situation. I made the mistake of parking overnight in the secure (not the issue) mall parking lot, and my rental car was hit while parked. There is underground parking included in the price of the unit, I would highly recommend that travelers park there instead. I was planning to move the car after check-in, but it started raining heavily and I didn't want to get wet. My mistake.
Hermanus is a lovely town, very walkable and very pretty, and I highly recommend the Whale Coast for convenience and comfortability. And the price is very reasonable for the area. Thanks to the super-friendly and helpful staff!
