PROTEA MOSSEL BAY

A well appointed boutique hotel well located in Mossel Bay. Staff were friendly, polite and engaging. Room was reasonably priced and we got a free upgrade so had a lovely harbour view. Room had everything you'd expect at this price point, although the window/door design in the bathroom was raised an eyebrow. So narrow corridors and staircases mean i'd advise bringing larger baggage. Clean and pleasant with minimal noise from outside or within. Attached restaurant Cafe Gannet was brilliant.

We spent 3 nights at the Protea Marriott during a trip along the Cape. Three things especially impressed us about the hotel. The first was the excellent on site restaurant which it should be noted is actually completely separate from the Protea. The food was delicious and we also enjoyed their great selection of wines. The second thing was that the staff at the Protea and at the restaurant were excellent. They were welcoming, and so helpful. Finally we also were very pleased with our rooms which were very comfortable and a nice view. If we returned back to Mossel Bay we would definitely stay here and we recommend it to other visitors.
