Cape Town Hollow Boutique

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When we first arrived it was late and the lobby was dark and my husband fell down the stairs. Also the room was very dingy. The next morning they were very concerned about my husband (who was fine). They upgraded our room (a beautiful room with a view) and sent us a bottle of wine. The room was very comfortable and the staff was excellent. We would stay there again.

What an awful experience. We booked on the hotel web page and said we would be arriving at 21h00. When we arrived the front desk didnt even know we were arriving. Then on our first morning, there was no water pressure and showered in cold water. Then on our last night, we wanted to shower and again no pressure and no hot water. We had to wash in the handbasin with hot water boiled from the kettle. Then at 21h00 we get kicked off the internet access. You pay 000,s of rand to stay here and this is what you get. A WARNING TO OTHERS. STAY AWAY.

Although it's not the most luxurious hotel in Cape Town, we would highly recommend staying here. The people that work at the front desk were incredibly helpful! To find a restaurant that we had booked, they walked us there. When we had some scheduling issues, they had their van change their pickup time repeatedly to accommodate us. For airline reservations, they went on the site, selected seats and printed our boarding passes. It's also very conveniently located across from a national park and museums. If we find ourselves in Cape Town again, this is where we'll stay.
