Castle Hill Guesthouse

I use to love this place. The new management is not customer focused and I experienced them aggressive in a away, threated with complete disrespect. I also left meat in the fridge and it was stolen. When I spoke to the staff they made me feel like I stole it, informing me that neither them nor the INTERNATIONAL guests steal. So me as a South African citizen is just not worth the effort. I am very disappointed and after many years of visiting Castle Hill, I will not go back there again.

The Inn at Castle Hill is a beautiful old manor with a fantastic sea view and a huge terrace. The house has both: a historic atmosphere and a modern standard. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are very good and tastefully equipped. Suzette, the manager, did everything to make us feel comfortable - which was important because we where there amidst the start of the Covid-19 lock down. The house is in a very quiet street amidst Kalk Bay. Kalk Bay is a nice little suburb (more a historical village ) close to Capetown, with interesting little shops, really good cafés and restaurants and an old fishing harbor. It is safe there, even while walking at night - what a difference to staying within the city! All in all I couldn`t imagine a better place to stay for a Capetown visit.

Beautiful property and very friendly staff. We had a lovely stay in Kalk Bay. The view from the room was really beautiful and you could listen to the ocean in the quiet night. We would wake up with the smell of freshly baked croissants Overall we really enjoyed it and it was a great money value choice.
