Knysna Hollow Country Estate

The 2 of us were part of a group bus tour of South Africa (tour company called Trafalgar) and stopped here for 2 nights. The rooms were spacious with a little balcony in front, 2 pools, I for families and a 2nd smaller pool for possibly adults (too small, if someone's in there already). The gardens were nice, spread out and well-maintained. There were some birds around. Food in restaurant was ok, as was the bar next to it. There was no self-service laundry, unfortunately, as was the case in most hotels we stayed at in the country. Only 1 hotel in a town Umhlanga pronounced as "Umschlanga"(?), had a washer/dryer in the room. So, we got hotel laundry done, quite pricey, as usual. The clothes came back pressed. However, they were not dry enough. Megan and Cheryl in reception were good, though. Cheryl gave a little discount on the laundry bill on checkout. We would be happy to stay there again if we ever return.

Me and my Husband has a Lovely experience at the Hollow Hotel in Knysna. The staff took such good care of us and the room was beautiful!,The food was amazing and we could really get a sense of a relaxed environment. The rooms and hotel was super well taken care of and the garden was beautiful. The views were increasable. Thank you !

The best hotel on our trip to South Africa so far. The apartment was just great, as was the breakfast. The garden with the pool in the middle is well maintained. Large foldable parasols provide sufficient shade. We brewed the coffee with the capsules on the dyen room and carried the cups into the poll area. If our time had allowed, we could have enjoyed a massage or played paddle, but we borrowed the boules balls, and had a lot of fun on one of the four lanes. We had dinner, too. The meat was excellent, only it took a little while for the main courses to be served.
