Lake Pleasant Living

We enjoyed our stay in the newly renovated en suite. No view from the room, but we had a small table and chairs outside and huge communal pool at the water's edge with a wonderful view of the lake. We also enjoyed the restaurant with a superb view.

Good day, my family of four stayed in the Garden cottages and we really enjoyed it, the accommodation might seem outdated but its clean, and gets serviced daily before 10am. We could hear the birds chirping in the trees above most of the time, staff are friendly and helpful. Close to Sedgefield town and Knysna, will defintely recommend.

We stayed at Lake Pleasant in villa no 5 over the December holidays in peak season. The grounds at Lake Pleasant are beautifully maintained with owners taking personal interest. There is no spa, it is a badly looked after area which is closed up. The villa in which we stayed was very badly maintaned, full of potential but lots of maintenance issues. Aircon did not work, scullery overflooded cuz of dishwasher leak, tap in kitchen was lose so overflooded the floor, outside doors could not open, safe was locked on arrival. Most issues except the aircon were sorted but always caused unhappinness as it required daily calls to the manager on site. The aircon was not fixed as we were told it was holiday season. If the unit had been checked prior to us arriving this could have been sorted. We requested a nominal refund for all the inconvenience and were told the owners said no. With this attitude I cannot recommend Lake Pleasant as they are not willing to recognize the fact that when you are on holiday and paying R 3000 a night you are expecting top notch service which we did not receive. The house was dirty and full of spiders. But good news the Manager organised a broom for us so we could clean it ourselves ! Wifi is very bad as well but this was not an issue for us, However they should not advertise that they have it.
