Strandloper Ocean Lodge

Our stay at Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From relaxing on the beautiful deck with uninterrupted ocean views, enjoying delicious snacks and sipping on a glass of bubbles (which was offered on our check in), to taking in the incredible natural surroundings, every moment felt special. The location strikes the perfect balance—peaceful and secluded enough to feel like a true escape, yet conveniently close to town. The views are spectacular, and the surrounding nature adds to the tranquil atmosphere that makes this place so memorable. What truly sets Strandloper apart is the outstanding staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our stay unforgettable. The breakfast was another highlight, with original, creative, and absolutely delicious options that were a refreshing change from the usual hotel fare. We didn't get the chance to dine at Leeto Restaurant this time, but after hearing so many great things and seeing the fantastic reviews, it's at the top of our list for our next visit.

Wonderful stay and experience in Paternoster. The hotel is fabulous and right on the beach; the bird life is incredible; the staff were wonderful and the food was world class.

Many hotels say that you are special to them as a guest, but Strandloper really makes you believe it. We stayed with them for a celebratory mini break and their service from pre-arrival to post-departure has been incredible. We almost felt that the hotel staff were as invested in making our stay memorable as we were. There were all sorts of little extras that we didn’t expect - from welcoming amuse bouche when we arrived, to sending the hotel vehicle to rescue us when our guided hike was interrupted by rain. The facilities are of course excellent - comfortable spacious suites with stunning views. The food is justified in being world famous. But in the end it was the personal connection that made the stay really outstanding.
