We stayed at the Devon Valley Hotel for the first couple of days of our Cape Town holiday. Stunning setting and views. Our room was a good size and had the same exceptional views, albeit the lighting in the bathroom could be improved. The location is somewhat remote but that provided a tranquil and relaxed setting and it was easy to get a Uber into Stellenbosch. We, as a rule, never eat at the hotel we are staying in but we did on this occasion and we are thankful we did. The waitress service was immaculate and the food itself was absolutely stunning. There was also a good variety of food available at breakfast. We would only suggest to the hotel to label food and for the waiter staff to explain what other alternatives are available i.e. toast etc. All in all, an exceptional start to our South Africa holiday.
