This was a great option for our family during our recent trip to Cape Town. It is about 10 minutes by car from the V&A Waterfront (the hotel offers a free shuttle) and within minutes of other local attractions. Rooms were clean and reasonably appointed. Restaurant offered a wide selection of options - every meal we had was well prepared and breakfast was ample. The staff in the restaurant was particularly friendly (especially Elna, who went above and beyond). The area is not safe to walk around, but given the easy access to Uber and other options to popular Cape Town destinations, it wasn't an issue. While the hotel is not "fancy" it served our needs well. We would return to this property again if ever in Cape Town.

A solid hotel choice that is functional and clean without offering over-the-top luxury. Pretty much what you would expect from a Doubletree by Hilton. Our deal included breakfast, which was a combination of buffet and table service. It was more than adequate - well presented and fresh. The rooms are quite spacious. The hotel is not located close to the waterfront. For those wanting around-the-corner convenience to Capetown's centre, this may be an issue. The hotel does offer a regular shuttle in daylight hours to deal with this. Although it's on the fringe of town, it still lies within the orbit of most day tour operators for pick-up and drop-off. There is a tour desk adjacent to the lobby to help you explore the city, the Cape and wine regions.

A very strange hotel. The layout is bizarre! First, the hotel is located in a largely industrial neighborhood. You drive in to the drop off area, but you would never know this is a hotel. And then you walk inside and now you REALLY think you went into the wrong place, because you have to walk a couple of hundred feet through what looks like a mall, to get to the hotel desk. The restaurant is cleverly hidden in a back corner of the lobby, and the lobby is actually broken up into 3 large (wasted space) sections. Just when you think you have seen the strangest hotel on the planet, you get to your room and see there is no wall separating the bed area from the bath area. The bed has a clear, open view of the bathtub! Hope you don't need privacy when your taking a long, hot, bath! Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay, the staff was super nice and the room was comfortable. The wifi keeps dropping out though for some reason.
