Not bad, although breakfast somewhat scarce. It was a special one for the group we were in, but, for example, they didn’t give the choice of milk for coffee. The room comfortable but somewhat simple. Of course, they were very kind to cut me and peel me some yellow melons.

Located directly on the lake at an elevated location. In the middle of nature. But also far outside and is therefore in no immediate vicinity of sights or a place. Directly around the hotel it has no restaurants or shops. The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, but could offer a little more storage space. During our stay around the hotel was somehow everything under reconstruction, the pool empty. For lack of alternatives, we took dinner and breakfast at the hotel. While the dinner was very good and priced fine, the breakfast could not compete in quality and choice. In our room was 28 degrees and the air conditioning did not cool. The front desk told me that the air conditioning was centrally controlled and not in operation at the moment. You told me to open the window. We then opened the room door and the (small) balcony door to get a little draft. In the early morning we had temperatures where we could sleep without sweating. The hotel is old and far out. The price for the experience not justified. Except for dinner. I don't see why you should come here again as a couple.

Cheongpung Resort Lake Hotel was surprisingly a pleasant accommodation for a short getaway. It’s a good 30 to 40 minutes away from the town center but that’s also what makes it a peaceful spot. The superior rooms are well worth the extra twenty bucks for the balcony with unobstructed lake view. The standard rooms face the opposite side with just a small window. Even though the building is old the rooms were clean and at least the interior was well kept. The balcony area (including the screen door) looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in decades being covered in spider webs. As the hotel is basically on the lake there are some good hiking paths right outside the hotel. There are no food options nearby other than the hotel restaurant which is about the only inconvenience along with the parking lot that is not connected to the hotel by elevators.
