Honestly, I am not sure that the Legend is still operating as a hotel - we stayed in an apartment directly across the street from it for three weeks and never saw a light on or many cars in the car park, or life generally.
But we did go and eat in the restaurant on the ground floor, as guests of in-law family and so this review is for the restaurant, as opposed to the accommodation.
Firstly, the restaurant seems to specialise in seafood - not our normal food genre of choice at all - but it does have a good reputation for it's sea food, so personal taste should be pushed aside.
The ground floor is palatial, high ceilings, lots of marble and eerily quiet, really very few people around. Our hosts had hired a private room, so it was difficult to tell whether there were many other diners.
We had our granddaughter with us and the staff had provided not only a high chair, but a complete set of cutlery and crockery for her (melamine) and were clearly captivated by her and interacted well with her.
Service was rather relaxed, but food was hot and came with all the usual 'pan jan' side dishes so common when dining in Korea.
The menu had been chosen by our hosts and my other half and I and our daughter all really struggled with it, seafood not being our favourite by a long shot, but that isn't to say that it wasn't good quality and varied. For whatever reason, despite pushing away her half eaten bowls, the staff failed to clear away my daughter's previous plates and bowls, just adding to her embarrassment at the fact that she didn't like the dishes being offered.
All in all, this proved to be rather a miserable eating experience for our family but that wasn't wholly the fault of the restaurant, more a case of not being in control of what we were eating. Trying to write a fair review has been rather like asking a vegetarian to write a review of a steakhouse!
If you enjoy seafood, then this may well be worth a visit, but the rather ghostly and abandoned feeling one gets on entering the building doesn't lend to there being a welcoming or busy atmosphere, and you really might be better going elsewhere.

Stayed in family ondol room. Room size is spacious and clean. Has English speaking staff and are pretty helpful. Only negative point was hot spring is chargable even for staying guest though their English website stated it is free. No shampoo provided in spa though there is in room, strange. Overall a reasonable stay with convenient store and eating places nearby.

Some of this hotel's finer amenities include beds that stab you with springs and toasty rooms in the middle of summer. They actually turn off the AC mid-day to keep costs down, both in the rooms, lobby and fitness center. As for the location, if you don't mind being in the heart of Daejon's room salon (hooker) distict, then you might enjoy this neighborhood. The one positive thing I can say is that the subway is nearby so you can easily escape.
