Ekonomy Hotel Gumi

We have been staying in room 102 and that's a huge room to Korean standards, with 3 beds. The room was well equiped and has a rather large bathroom with toilet & shower. The staff is VERY friendly and takes care of a complementairy breakfast. The Ekonomy hotel is about 5 minute walk from Gumi railway station and situated in the center of the town, with all shops you need around. FREE WIFI, breakfast

This hotel was okay but it does need to change a few things. First, we arrived just before 3 to noone in reception despite the places advertising 24hr reception. We called and they said 3pm check in...okay. Second, we returned 40 mins later and still no one. Phoned again and he said 10 minutes. Finally came back ans got checked in. They gave us toiletries and toothbrushes etc. The reception is in the building next door. The communal hallways are nice. The room is also nice but tiny. There's barely a window. They keep the floor heating on all night so it's roasting. With a small room, tiny window and super hot floors, we felt suffocated. Breakfast was in the basement. It's super eerie down there as no light was on. It was self service. Toast, eggs, ramyeon and coffee. It was an okay stay but we didn't sleep well due to the intense heat.
