Hotel Pohang Galaxy

Super clean, large, comfortable rooms and nice staff, but really pricey, with no breakfast included. Our room had one double western bed, one Korean room with futon, and two bathrooms, bath products and cosmetic fridge. ;) Great location for Pohang beach front, which has mostly motels.

I got the traditional type room. Very spacious for a single biztrip traveler like me. No problem sleeping on the floor. But when I woke up and tried to get breakfast, bad news hit, we have to reserve breakfast upon reservation or arrival, but nobody at the hotel informed me. Walking distance to plenty of bar and restaurant and entertainment venues.

I stayed here with my young family which consists of three children aged 2 months, 3 and 5 years old. We were pleasantly surprised and won't hesitate to stay here again. We stayed in the ondol room and it was almost perfect. The room was large and clean with a huge bathroom. The room also had a variety of conveniences that made our stay even more enjoyable. It had both AC and floor heating, a hair dryer, phone, TV, two mini fridges - one for the complimentary toothpaste, toothbrushes, moisturizers etc, and the other for the complimentary bottles of water. It had a kettle with coffee and cups as well. The bathroom had towels, soap, shampoo etc. Seriously, all we needed to bring were our clothes. The only downside to the room was that the bathroom sink didn't drain directly into a drain, but onto the floor and then drained into the floor drain. So watch your feet. Only some of the rooms have a beach view , so be sure to ask about this when booking, if this is important to you. Our ondol room looked onto another building, but this wasn't an issue for us. The hotel is clean and convenient with secure parking. It is located in a building that has a cafe on the 1st two floors, a hairdresser on the 3rd floor and a pizzeria on the 4th floor. The hotel also has a restaurant and a terrace rooftop floor. Furthermore, it is opposite a beach that is perfect for walking along the boardwalk and watching the sunrise. The hotel is on a poplar strip and has a McDonalds, a convenience store and a variety of restaurants close by. There is even a lotte department store maybe 5 minutes away. Truly, this hotel is so convenient and central to everything. It was such a pleasure to stay here.
