To whom it may concern, ​I am writing to formally report a major theft that occurred at The Suites Hotel Jeju on June 12th, resulting in the loss of all my jewelry, valued at over €10,000. ​On June 12th, we completed our check-out at 11:00 AM. Our taxi to the airport was scheduled for 5:30 PM. It was during this specific timeframe, while we were at the hotel facilities, that all my jewelry was stolen. The treatment and lack of support we received from the hotel staff regarding this matter was absolutely unacceptable. This incident took place while our luggage was left under the strict custody, care, and legal responsibility of your establishment. ​We expect direct, immediate communication from the General Manager or a Senior Executive to address both this criminal theft and the appallingly negligent treatment by your staff and anyone answer our callings and emails ​Sincerely,

Located in the southwest of the island, about an hour's drive from the airport. All around are other large resorts or hotels. The beach is about 500 meters further south. Directly next to the hotel is a small CU-brand shop. Five minutes walk up the road there are a few restaurants, a cafe and a larger 7 Eleven. For people who like hiking the note that the hotel is located directly on Olle Trail section 8. This is absolutely worth seeing, or beautiful to hike. Viewed east and west from the hotel. Otherwise, the direct area is boring and consists of other hotels. Up the road, about 15–20 minutes you can reach various restaurants, where the locals also eat. Pro tip: The road to the left past the Lotte Hotel leads to a fantastic café at the end on the cliff. With a great range of patisserie and drinks and with a fantastic sea view. The staff are friendly but insist on check-in times. Which is quite common in South Korea. On the positive side, I noticed that the staff clean and disinfect the sun loungers by the pool after using a guest. At first glance, from the outside and in the lobby, the hotel is modern and beautifully decorated, the entrance air-conditioned. At second glance, ma sees in many corners that the hotel is getting old and can no longer meet today's demands. Cons: The pool area doesn't match the size of the hotel. The pool is far too small, worse, guests from the opposite Hotel Bloom also use the same pool. The 14 loungers were always occupied. And since the hotel is very popular with families, the pool was constantly full of splashing children (and their parents). A leisurely swim was not possible. Of course, the many children can also be heard running around the hotel. So if you value peace and a relaxed atmosphere by the pool, you are wrong in this hotel. The room I found relatively small for the price. It was also only conditionally clean, the shower spacious but not great. Two people in the bathroom is getting tight. The carpet, as well as part of the furniture and doors is used up and would urgently need a renovation. The air conditioning works very quietly, but hardly cools. Cooling capacity is centrally controlled, as in other hotels in South Korea. Our room doesn't have a single closet. So we lived out of the suitcase for several days. The safe is uncomfortable on the floor. Another annoyance concerns the toilet. A large multifunctional toilet seat was mounted on a small toilet bowl. With the result that the seat protrudes beyond the toilet but offers less space for the user. This then in the front area, which made contactless use impossible for me. Unhygienic and very unpleasant. How to get 5 stars on all these points is a mystery to me. After all, the selection at breakfast is good. The quality averaged, as we also had in four-star hotels. The value for money is not justified in my opinion. The four individually air-conditioned cabanas, which you have to pay extra for and reserve in advance, don't tear that out. Lack of storage space, a much too small pool and pool area, as well as other small things that are negatively noticeable, for a hotel that is supposed to have 5 stars (to the CU shop you have to leave the hotel, in case of rain you can not borrow umbrellas (only buy), only half a liter of water per day for free). The fact that on our fourth day in the hotel during 2–3 hours in the afternoon repairs were made to a wall directly behind our room and a scaffolding was dismantled, so we had construction noise instead of rest, was then added to that. The hotel is not recommended for couples or people looking for peace and quiet by the pool area. For us, the stay was a disappointment for the reasons given. We won't be booking any more hotels in the series.
