Suncheon Royal Tourist Hotel

Don't stay at this hotel. You can get three times the value at half the price just 100 yards down the street. We stayed here one night (we were going to stay three) but the air conditioning didn't work and the room had a bad smell. The hotel has seen better days (probably circa 80s or 90s) and it was depressing there. We then walked by the Samoa Hotel just down the street and moved in right away. Brand new hotel, very clean, great amenities, for half the price of Royal.

No kettle and don't know where to get hot water. Room is big. But all the things inside are old. Price is high because of Yeosu Expo and it's not worth for that price. Staff not good in English but they try their best to help you.

We stayed here for 4 nights so we could visit Expo at Yeosu. The hotel was convenient for catching a taxi to the free train to Expo and also close to the bus terminal. Staff were also friendly and helpful. However I would not otherwise recommend this hotel. Perhaps prices were inflated because of Expo. We paid more than $150 a night for room that you would expect to be worth $70-80 anywhere else in Korea. The rooms are very basic. We had to ask for a kettle and towels. The advertised sauna rooms were closed and looked like they had been for some time.
