Hongdae Orange Guesthouse

The location of the hostel is great, super close to all the Hongdae bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants. Perfect location for backpackers or those really going cheap. The owner Mr Kim spoke enough english for me to mostly understand. I've stayed in Seoul now 3 times but this was my least favourite hostel. The rooms and bathrooms could do with a clean and the rooms themselves are very small (get what you pay for as the price is fairly low). Also note if you stay on the bottom floor the roof is lower than 6 feet tall, so I had to crouch constantly if I went down there. If you are on a tight budget and will only need a hostel to sleep then this place would be suitable. If you want to pay an extra 10 bucks then you could find somewhere much much cleaner and more comfortable.

The property is in a good, popular location, especially for backpackers. Its next to plenty of eating and drinking places. The male owner was very friendly and towels, shampoo were all included. The property itself isn’t the most modern, the twin room we booked was just two beds in a 6 man dorm (the whole dorm was ours). The free breakfast was a simple toast and jam spread.

Everyone there are really nice, whether staffs or backpackers (Especially, two brothers at the guesthouse who are really good looking and sincerely kind) Near from KTX Hongik univ. station (walk for 10 minutes), have convenient store and bar not far from the house. All rooms are very clean and have nice smell all the time. Free shampoos are available at every shower room there. Their kitchen pretty nice, even have huge refrigerator for chilling anything you want. They also have Jeju orange juice as one of their free breakfast that you must try once in your life!
