First, the "classy" photo of the shared space (kitchen/dining) is VERY inaccurate. The kitchen area when I visited in Jun '25 was a dump, full of half-eaten ramyeon containers, used napkins, smelly, disheveled, just gross and I'm not usually picky. The ONLY thing for western breakfast is bread: no jelly, no butter, nothing. Rooms have ancient furniture but at least are quiet and the showers worked well, with plenty of hot water. There are no on-site staff; it seems to be totally self-run. It's up a STEEP hill from main road with subway, so be prepared to sweat and climb. It's somebody's ignored, stinky, unimproved money-cow guesthouse. They do LITTLE to make it appealing other than the location. And if it were cheaper, I wouldn't complain, but I paid $60 a night.

I loved the fact that the location is perfect for a quite night as well as it’s so closed to Namsan tower for a beautiful walk in morning, Myeongdong for shopping and sightseeing in evening time and many places I can get to in less than 15 mins The guest house is perfectly clean , they have a healthy breakfast as well as a projector where I played my favorite movies at night before heading to sleep. The family are so nice and always there to help me with everything I needed ^_^ I recommend this place for long term and short term stays~~

Despite of our last minute cancellation on our first guesthouse booked 3 months before our travel...Mama guesthouse accepted us and welcome us in their humble home...easy to talk to since she speaks english fluently and her daughter can speak japanese as well....they are very hospitable...Don't expect too much on their breakfast but you can also have breakfast in nearby cozy cafes...don't try starbucks...i recommend their local coffeeshops... enjoy your trip...
