Seoul Station Pencil Hostel

No wonder so long no one review here, think carefully before booking, if u go alone can take the risk. Family think twice, especially during festive season. Mine got cancel due to Christmas season, they told me overbooked.

Stayed in a triple room with an ensuite bathroom. There is a fridge, cooker, washing machine and a hot water kettle in the room. A microwave is a shared facility which is placed at the common room, which is also used as the common kitchen and reception area. Although the toilet bowl is clean but I cannot consider that the bathroom is clean because its wall, shower curtain and sink is dirty. To make it worst, it is very smelly. Pencil Hostel provides a comfortable living space in a convenient location. I stayed for 10 days in the Korean room with the ondol floor, (heated floor), a private room for 2 or a small family, which is terrific when you really want to experience a traditional way of living. The heated floors are so nice in winter and easy to sleep on. When trying to decide between this room and one with a bed, it may be helpful to try sleeping on the floor at home before booking. Sleeping on the futon here is akin to sleeping on a plush floor carpet. Asians believe it is better for your back and I tend to agree. Once I got used to it, I came to prefer it and now I really recommend it because it’s such a great night’s sleep ^.^ YooJin is a great cook, I recommend opting in for the breakfast, it is well worth the money. YooJin is very friendly and she truly wants her customers to have a great experience. She tries very hard to accommodate her guests and to make sure they are comfortable and happy. She can answer many questions you may have and recommend places to visit while in Korea. Thank you for all your help, YooJin ~^^ I will definitely come back to stay here again. This hostel was so great for me because of its safe and convenient location, easy access to transportation and short walking distances to restaurants and shops, neighborhood grocery, convenience stores, ATMs and banks, the university … anything you could ever need is right here. Plus it is just a few subway stops from many of the major attractions that draw tourists here. You can walk to the nearest subway station in just 5 minutes or to Seoul Station, which is only 15 minutes by foot, where you will find Lotte Outlet among many other shops, restaurants and airport transportation. I have visited Korea many times and this is the best place I have ever stayed, so many plusses and amenities for so little money :)
