Starria Hostel Foreigners Only

This hostel is a rarity; it is in an excellent location (just steps from Myeongdong), it is very well connected to both the center and Namsan (so great if you want to visit the park and the tower) and has an affordable price. The area is full of places (in pure Myeongdong style) and convenience stores. The rooms are comfortable and clean, check-in was quick, and check-out was self-service. They do not clean the rooms (which is quite common in Korea), but fresh towels are always available at the reception. They also have a luggage storage at the entrance and a common room in the basement, which includes a kitchen and a well-equipped laundry, as well as a photo set (!!!) themed around medieval Korea (see photo)... The street it is on is slightly uphill, which requires dragging luggage from the subway for about 200 meters. Even when calling a taxi, it is better to move to the main street Toegye-ro, because the side street is one-way, and vehicles must take a ridiculous detour to reach the hotel entrance.

It's close to Myeongdong Station and quiet at night. The room was clean and had everything you need, and I was sent directions and other information immediately after booking, so I had a comfortable stay without any worries. They also provide thoughtful services such as luggage storage, weighing scales, and umbrella rentals. This is a great place to base yourself on for a trip where you'll be having fun all day and night in Seoul.

*Accommodating staff/owner - quickly responds to your needs and questions; adjusts accordingly and go an extra mile to accommodate you (The owner even drove us to Seoul station during our last stay at the hotel) *Convenience & Affordability - the place is located at Myeongdong, famous as one of the shopping spots in Korea and just few minutes away from the subway station. The rates are reasonable and perfect for budget travellers! Basic toiletries are also provided. Common areas such as kitchen, dining room and laundry rooms are also in place. You can move around comfortably as if it is the extension of your home! The rooms are not big but comfortable enough during our stay. We highly recommend this place if you are the type who looks for an accommodation with a good quality, minimalist yet with reasonable price!
