Yeoksam Hotel Lin

This place is not a "love hotel" in the usual sense. It offers hourly rates and stay-by-the-day options, but everyone I met in the hotel was a young foreign traveler, mostly from China. I've been in actual love hotels and this was not one of them. The reviews saying this place is dark aren't lying; for doing makeup or hair it's a pain to find a bright spot. But it's not to the point where you're struggling to see (the lighting is sufficient). That being said the hotel was great for the price. The location was fantastic (Yeoksam is very close to Gangnam) and it's very near 7 Eleven and Starbucks. The toiletries were sufficient and the room was quite big for East Asian standards. I never talked to the staff for any direct requests but they were friendly enough. They asked in English if I needed my room cleaned, but that was it. Compared to some of the other budget hotels I've stayed in Seoul (no windows, broken elevator, etc) this was great.

Was on a business trip to Seoul and this was the hotel next to the office hence booked here. But this place is strictly for budget travellers or "i just want a place to sleep at night" The hotel is more popularly know as a "love hotel" and they rent out rooms by the hour and hence is very popular for paid sex or couples looking for some quick fun. The rooms are very dark and claustrophobic and kind of dingy. Was never able to get the wifi to work and the only other option was to pull the internet cable and make my mac a hotspot... but the cables are completely hidden behind the TV desk and are a pain to arrange every day. Also the staff speaks ZERO ENGLISH - so even basic stuff like 'get fresh towels' etc will not be understood by them. Breakfast is available but is kind of nothing - Bread slices and jam/butter. I had a local friend who really bargained the prices... so it is best you go here with a local contact.
