Tong Hotel Andante Insadong

Pros 1. The location of this hotel is really great and strategic and it is well described as below 2. Clean and comfortable 3. Hair dryer, cups, kettles all available for free 4. The pantry for public is clean and well furnished with fridge is available. And the coffee is very nice and most important it is FOC. Lol From ICN airport: 1. Take the AREX train and get off at Seoul Station. 2. Transfer to Seoul Subway Line 1 (Jongno direction) and get off after 2 stops at Jonggak Station. 3. Get out of Jonggak Station through exit #11 and turn around to walk 25m straight until you reach 7-Eleven and Woori Bank. 4. Enter the alley between Woori Bank and 7-Eleven and walk straight for 90m until you see the Hotel Tong sign and a small alley to the left. Cons 1. The room for double bed is quite small and my husband and i need to tip- toed to walk in the room after we put our luggage on the floor in the room 2. Laundry and dryer are available but you have to pay 16000 won for that ( i am not sure is this mentioned clearly on the website)

The hotel location is near to subway and bus station so its very convenient to go anywhere. Nearby also have variety of shops from restaurants to cosmetic shops and its also nearby to Cheonggyecheon River (just need walk 10 to 15 mins). The customer service attitude still acceptable. The customer service can speak in Chinese and English well so no worries for communication issue. The room space actually quite small and the air-conditioner can't adjust to hot air. The room also not provided hot blanket so will feel cold when the weather temperature lower than 7 degree.

We were at seoul for 4 nights and it was a very busy trip as we covered almost everything over there including markets and all. Hotel Tong provided a peaceful and comfortable stay. The insadong market was near by and hence number of food joints and bars were ample. At a stone throw's distance the main road was there which had Subway, 7 eleven, Pizza Hut, the subway and few indian restaurants as well(for indian travellers). The hotel had a with breakfast option which we didn't choose but I saw the food served and looked yummy.Wifi is strong. And host can speak and understand English. I will recommend this place for a budget stay.
