I recently stayed at voco Seoul Gangnam for 5 days and 4 nights. The hotel’s location near Sinsa Station is very convenient for exploring different parts of Seoul. From the moment I checked in, the staff were polite and proactive in assisting guests. A Front Office Officer named Hyun stood out — he was very courteous and explained the hotel’s facilities in detail. Each floor has a communal kitchen, which is handy for guests who wish to cook, and there is also a laundry room available. My room was reasonably spacious and comfortable. However, on the third night, I experienced intermittent resonance noises, similar to water pipes, during the late hours. I was about to contact the Front Office when I noticed another guest from the neighboring room had already asked about it. By the next morning, it seemed that guests from the adjacent rooms either checked out or moved to another floor. The noise was faintly noticeable even on the second night, but since I did not follow up with the staff, the issue remained unresolved. On another note, I would like to share feedback regarding IHG’s Diamond membership upgrades. Compared to other hotel loyalty programs such as Bonvoy, IHG tends to be more conservative, usually offering only a one-level upgrade. For loyal and long-term customers, I believe IHG should consider more flexible and rewarding arrangements.

I stayed at voco Seoul Gangnam for two nights and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location is extremely convenient, just about one block away from Garosu-gil, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops within easy walking distance. It made exploring the area very easy, especially for a short stay. The hotel staff were helpful throughout my stay, and the room was clean with a modern, well-designed feel. Everything worked well and the hotel felt comfortable and efficient. The only minor downside is that the room is on the smaller side, though that is understandable given the central location in Gangnam. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, modern, and conveniently located stay near Garosu-gil.

I had a great stay at Voco Seoul Gangnam by IHG. The location is fantastic — just a 5-minute walk from Sinsa Station, and there’s almost everything you need right around the hotel. There’s a UNIQLO right across the street, plus KFC, coffee shops, pharmacies, and even a 24-hour restaurant nearby, which made my stay super convenient. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. Room service is available until 11 PM daily, which is a nice plus. My only small disappointment was that the in-room dining menu didn’t offer many Korean food options. Housekeeping overall was good, and the lady who cleaned my room was very friendly and kind. I did notice that there were a few pieces of garbage under the bed, so attention to detail in that area could be improved slightly. I also appreciated how thoughtful the staff were. On the first day when I did not request cleaning service, they hung a bag of fresh towels and bottled water on my door, which was perfect. However, on the second day, I returned from lunch and found four new bottles of water placed on the minibar table and my towels replaced — even though my “Do Not Disturb” light was still on. I understand the intention was to provide fresh supplies, which I appreciate, but it would have been better if the front desk had called to confirm before entering the room. One more highlight: my floor had a shared public kitchen where guests can cook or microwave food, which I think is a great feature, especially for longer stays. Overall, despite the small issues, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider coming back.
