Pacific

As a Muslim family travelling to Seoul, we selected this as the main anchor hotel for our stay. Reasons being its proximity to the many halal restaurants at Myeongdong. It was across the road from the main shopping area, but it suited us just fine as the surrounding area was bustling but still peaceful. Front desk staff were generally professional though not that friendly. But the housekeepers who made our rooms daily were great! We had a Namsan tower view and the room was clean. It was a pleasant enough stay, and I would consider it again when I return to Seoul.

The Pacific Hotel is in an amazing location in Myeongdong near lots of restaurants, street food, shopping and the subway/metro. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast buffet has lots of options and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. Laundry was efficient and not too pricey. My only complaint is: I like a much cooler temperature when I sleep (especially with only a heavy comforter as covers). I set my room thermostat at 18 degrees Celcius and it never reached my desired temperature for my entire five day stay. It would sometimes cool to 22.5C but rise again to 26C. I think maintenance had ultimate control over when AC was actually on. This was the only negative during my stay.

Location is great! Lots of tours depart from nearby station, so it was very convenient. I would not give this hotel 4 stars but it’s ok, clean rooms, comfy beds. Breakfast could be improved.
