Guest House Myeong dong

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. Please, trust me. Dirty toilet and smelly sewage smell. DO NOT TRUST THE GOOD REVIEWS ON AIRBNB. You will not have a good rest and peace in this room. You will not have a good time after a long day of shopping and traveling. You will not feel like you wanna wash up after you shower. This price is NOT worth it. I have videos and all but can't be posted here. Airbnb will not take action too because you can electronically send smell. But please, there are better options. Seriously, this place is a TURDHOLE. Search around, you will see other reviews. CHEAP IS NOT ALWAYS GOOD

It was my 3rd time staying at this guest house simply because I love its location as it is near the airport bus, metro and right in Myeongdong. On my last visits, I was somehow able to forgive the small and not so clean room. Previously I had booked single en-suites but this time round I had booked a double room thinking that a bigger room would be better. I was so wrong. Dirty The floor was dirty and I found hair. The fridge and wall were run down with black marks. Curtains were stained. The bathroom has mouldy tiles and sink, while corner shelve and glass was chalky with stain. There were slippers for you to wear but they were yucky, I didn't wanna wear them! Stairs Yes, I knew they did not have a lift but I have forgotten how steep the steps were. I tripped while trying to carry my luggage up. I had requested for a quiet room in my booking (cos the walls were super thin) and of course, the "quietest" room was on the second last level which was the 5th floor. Don't expect anyone to help you with your luggage. The man behind the counter only checks you in, that was his only job. Good thing was, I got to exercise every day. I could leave and book another cleaner place at better rates. But I also wanted to make the best of things. So I bought wet wipes, 2 pairs of slippers, hangers and air freshener and cleaned the room myself. If you find yourself saying, "it couldn't be that bad", well go ahead and book. Don't say I never warn you.

The pictures shown here are FAKE! The room is small, dusty and really an EYESORE everywhere! There is NO ELEVATOR, so we have to drag our HEAVY luggage up to the 5th floor! The restroom is very small that a big person won't fit! Water spills out the restroom since shower is facing the door. Although the bed covers looks clean, the room smells of something old and also dusty. The guy at the counter in 2nd floor is VERY RUDE! No words or any greetings. This guy doesn't care about you or the place. No attempt to help us carry our luggage, he just looked at us as we struggle with our bags as we follow him up to the 5th floor. He showed us how to open the door with a password once, then refused to help us when we failed opening the door the first time. He just shrugged his shoulders while looking at us trying the password again and again. What kind of hosting is this? We booked this place last minute as we wanted to extend our stay in Korea and really did it in a hurry as all the places are fully booked. Wished that we took pictures but we did not because we got overwhelmed with how bad the place was. Spare yourselves the trouble. It is near the night market and stores, location is convenient but NOT WORTH IT!!! There are other guest houses with acceptable/convenient accommodations.
