Apartamentos Cruceiro do Galo

The photos are very well done, they give you the idea of an ideal accommodation. The room, at least ours, was very spacious and bright, with enough space for two people, overlooking the Alameda park. The location is good, five minutes walk from the old town area. If you book here thinking you can use the kitchen, forget it. It's practically ornamental and not equipped to prepare anything for you. Worst, certainly, the bathroom. It's tiny and terribly uncomfortable. If I have to put a rating on it, it takes a zero without thinking. Too bad, really.

I was fortunate to stay in these apartments for 3 nights the first week in October with 4 friends. There were so reasonably priced and really lovely. I would definitely recommend them and on my next visit will be hoping to stay there again....

The Apartamento Cruceiro do Galo is one of the properties of Catedral Suites and is in a good location near the main park and overlooking the old town with the great cathedral dominating the scene. Our apartment was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but the kitchen was well-equipped. The range, however, didn't work and there were no instructions, but then we didn't plan to do any "home cooking". There is no daily cleaning. We thought we were in a quiet area, but there was a surprising amount of traffic going by on the little street outside. We would advise asking for a quiet room on the back of the building. All in all, spending a few days here was a good experience.
