Hotel Casa de la Troya-Santiago

Chosen for the location and good reviews, we were not disappointed. The room was comfortable and quiet, the staff very nice, the breakfast good (small breakfast room, but we always found a free table).

The hotel very well, I advise it 100 percent ,very comfortable,very clean, the reception girl Eva lovely did not make feel at home, if I come back I will not hesitate to return

This is essentially a lovely hotel close to the cathedral square. Some might think it noisy because of that but we loved the hustle and bustle of peregrina/os arriving and celebrating after completing their Camino walks. Staff are extremely warm and friendly and helpful. However, we didn’t give the hotel 4 or 5 stars because we had a problem with our shower and it was not addressed during our three nights stay. It was clear from our bathroom door which was water damaged at the bottom that there must have been a long standing problem with the shower. The water shot out everywhere. Whilst the receptionist told us he reported the issue to maintenance nothing happened during our stay so we had to wash each day rather than shower. This was very poor service indeed. This could be a top reviewed hotel but it won’t be if it ignores a major issue for clients staying with them for three days. That was really disappointing.
