Hotel Ciudad de Compostela

⭐ Quite a disappointing experience on the cafe terrace. I arrived before other customers and specifically chose a table in the sun because I wanted to enjoy it while having a drink. Later, other people arrived who asked for the awning to be lowered because the sun bothered them, and the staff lowered it directly, without asking me or taking into account that I was already there first and that I had specifically chosen that table for the sun. I perfectly understand trying to accommodate the request of some customers, but they should also take into account the customers who are already using the terrace. The right thing to do would have been to look for a solution that respected both parties, instead of automatically prioritizing those who arrived later. A customer service detail that could be much improved.

Impossible to sleep even with the window closed and despite the double glazing. An incessant flow of vehicles outside the hotel brings considerable disturbance to the room. Hotel without air conditioning. I do not recommend this establishment.

The rooms are quite spacious but very warm, even with the windows open (I went in mid-October) It is about 15-20 minutes from the Cathedral, but the road is steep and with stairs. It is not recommended to walk from the train station to the hotel, everything is hills, and you have to cross Belvís Park. The bathroom is quite small. At night the area seemed safe, although quite dark in the surrounding area.
