I have rarely felt so well looked after in a hotel as at Rosa Rosae. First, there are the "hard facts": Ideally located, airport bus stops practically on the doorstep and the train or bus station is 5 minutes away. Bars, shops and restaurants can be found in the immediate vicinity, and supermarkets are also nearby. The historic center is about 10 minutes walk. It's hard to get better! The hotel is located on a moderately busy street. I had a window to the side of the street, and the noise was very limited. When the window is closed, you hear almost nothing. Our rooms were pleasantly spacious. No Chichi, simple equipment, but everything there you need, and above all super clean. A nice and welcome attention were the two small water bottles in the fridge. The beds were fine for me, but that's a matter of taste anyway. Really great is the shower: Hot water now! The water comes with real pressure! I haven't always been able to experience this even in very upscale hotels. For this alone, a visit to Rosa Rosae is worthwhile. Breakfast is well stocked for a small hotel of this category. It's just a shame that many products are offered in individual packages, which produces unnecessary garbage. Probably makes it easier for the hotel. But qualitatively everything was fine The best thing, though, and now come the "soft facts," is Pili, the soul of the house. I was there with my not-so-baptist father, and we were treated as if we were old friends. Especially with my father Pili was incredibly patient and loving. She took care of him touchingly, and I too felt completely well looked after. There are many good hotels, but the human affection and friendliness that Pili exudes can hardly be found anymore. Muchas gracias, Pili, si vuelvo a Santiago, ya sé dónde me hospedaré!

Solo female traveller. Felt very safe. Excellent staff, plentiful continental buffet breakfast and hot coffee. My room was on 1st floor at rear. Quiet room. Heated towel rail was a nice touch also there is a mini fridge in the room which was handy. Lovely soft towels and room was attended to everyday. I was attending to family member who was in hospital near by so didn’t spend much time there in the day. Great location I did walk to the Cathedral and the Alameda Park in around 10 minutes. Spent a few hours and could have easily spent more time wandering through the narrow streets around the cathedral buildings. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Bus stops right outside and a few minutes walk to train station. Overall a fantastic location to go and explore Santiago de Compostela.

Don't stay here. It's a nice little hotel in a good location but the staff is rude and unfriendly. In the breakfast room, you will be yelled at if you move a chair or sit at the "wrong" table. A friend's wife was napping so he was sitting on the stairs to read (no common area to sit in). An employee hollered at him to get out. At one point, the concierge actually threatened to call the policía if chairs weren't put back in the correct places. Not fun. They don't seem to like people---an unpleasant trait for hoteliers.
