Hotel fairly close to the center, clean, a bit old in structure, friendly staff, breakfast just sufficient, dinner decent.

simple check in from friendly staff,there is also a large and rather lovely seating area on the same level and a nice bar.lifts to all floors.my room was of a good size,clean and tidy with a comfy double bed and a good size bathroom.for location,it took me 15 minutes to walk to the cathedral via parque da alameda which is worth a visit in itself.

Techno beat music from surrounding bars lasted until early morning hours. Inescapable. Rooms smelled like sewer gas from exterior vents located next to windows. We complained to manager, and left for another destination a day early due to the unpleasant stay. We were, unsurprisingly, refused a refund.
