Holiday Inn Express Vitoria

Good reception. Room quite large, clean, and with a bathroom featuring brand-name products. Good sleep quality and a comfortable bed. Breakfast in a spacious environment, with a selection of sweet and savory options, could be improved in terms of product quality and care in protecting the food. Ample free parking. Restaurant in front of the hotel, which is convenient given the distance from the city.

The rooms are a bit spartan but clean and functional. I missed the all day coffee of other Holiday Inn Expresses but I enjoyed the bar and staff. Breakfast choices were limited and all the juices seemed diluted with water. The quality of the breakfast did not fit with the excellent quality of the rest of the hotel.

Location: the hotel is located in an industrial estate and I would not recommend staying here unless you have your own transport. There is plenty of free parking outside the hotel. Check-in: we were helped promptly but the male receptionist. He spoke excellent English and was very helpful. He provided us with all the necessary information regarding breakfast times etc. Room: the room was a fairly standard European Holiday Inn Express. The air conditioning worked well. The room and bathroom were clean. The TV has at least one English language channel (BBC World News) for those who don’t speak not speak Spanish. It is worth checking if it is possible to change the audio language as we realized that is possible at the last hotel we stayed at during our latest visit to Spain. The beds were not the most comfortable as they were quite firm but they were ok for one night. It was quiet and we did not hear anything from the other guests despite the hotel being fairly fully booked. WiFi: the complimentary WiFi was fine for our needs which included WhatsApp video calls. Breakfast: the complimentary breakfast was good with several standard breakfast options (bread, toast, jams, cheese, ham, yogurt etc). Overall: it is a nice hotel and I would stay here again.
