Tryp Ciudad De Alicante

I stayed 22nd Sept to 26th Sept 20. The staff are lovely and a special thumbs up to Jose, the night receptionist. Always helpful and no bother opening a few bottles of wine for me. Cheers Jose :) Location excellent, just a few mins from the lovely beach. Close to Spar & Carrefour supermarkets, lots of tapas bars and restaurants close by. Rooms are very clean and we had a large terrace to hang out on in the evening. Bars close at 1am so it was nice to sit on the terrace and you get a great view of Santa Barbara Castle which is illuminated at night. (Mindful to be quiet though for other guests and neighbours.) Will definitely stay again and price compared with the other Melia hotels nearby is excellent. Go to Melia.com to see what I mean.

I have been recently staying at this hotel. I was choosing this hotel as it is close to the see and the historical center. It was great for a short trip to Alicante. Great prepared at the time of the pandemic COVID-19. All fine!

We stayed at this TRYP hotel for 2 nights following finding out our flight home was cancelled. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. A stones throw from the beach and close to the restaurants that we liked. We were really lucky to be able to check into our room early. The reception staff were really lovely and very helpful. Especially the lady that spoke fantastic English. Our room was 504 and was really nice. Mini bar, dressing gowns, slippers and even chocolates left for us. We also had a beautiful terrace with sun beds. Although there were facilities in the room, there was a tea/coffee machine downstairs which was free. Breakfast was lovely. A wide range continental breakfast. The only negative of our stay was that the room was really warm. The air con was on a central system and we were not able to use it. We did however get provided with a fan for our second night which was fine.
