Flamingo Oasis

Stayed at this hotel as a family of 12. We had a great holiday. Hotel was lovely, rooms were a good size especially the bathroom. I had emailed and requested an accessible room if possible and they were able to accomodate this which was appreciated. The food was okay but I am fussy. Breakfast was good and so was the snack bar, which he used a lot! Pool area could be doing with a refurb and cleaned a bit better as there were people who did not clean up after themselves and put their rubbish in the bins there were plenty of them around the pool so no excuse for being lazy. But in the morning when waiting for sunbeds, yes I am one of those people who queue for beds as we needed to be near the front of the pool as we had kids. I noticed cups and straws still lying about which I had to pick up as cleaners had missed them! There were plenty of beds just not enough parasols, so no matter when you went to the pool you could get a sunbed. Also it is great that the pool is fenced off at night. Entertainment was okay not long enough for the kids though. Bar staff at all the bars were great especially the pool bar at night they were always smiling and helpful. All in all a few minor things but we had a great week and as I said the hotel is lovely

Lots of good things…rooms big and clean. Pool clean and life guard on the ball really vigilant. Reception staff pleasant and very helpful as were the bar staff. Lifts yes they are busy but we didn’t wait longer than 5min . Good locations taxi service right outside hotel. Subbed wars …Definitely here with one woman pushing me into a parasol loads of sunbeds not enough parasols. Cleaners on level 12 rude unhelpful when granddaughter became ill complaining she didn’t start until 9 I offered to wash the floor myself I only asked for a towel she was cleaning the room in the corridor. Mermaid experience 30 euros not worth it in my opinion Good holiday but not for us Would i recommend on the whole yes

This is a nice enough hotel but it’s definitely not a 4 star. The TUI kids club is fab and helped to give the kids a break from the sun - well needed during this heatwave. Staff were welcoming on arrival. The room is nice and big, but absolutely needs updating. Issues with air con, which leaked throughout the holiday, issues with the shower which created a nice lake in the middle of the bathroom (the shower door not sealed and no proper drainage in the middle of the bathroom floor). Beds were comfy. Balcony overlooked the pool which was nice. They’ve updated areas of the room (eg obviously removed the bath and replaced with a shower) but not fully redecorated so it’s very mismatched. The maid came daily and replaced towels and made beds but that’s it as far as cleaning goes. There was still rubbish in our room from previous guests. No sweeping of floors. The WiFi is not throughout the hotel, couldn’t get it in our rooms or pool side. Often didn’t even work in the lobby. The food is okay. ‘Always found something to eat’ but didn’t make us adventurous. Very much home comforts which is not what you go away for. Nice roast dinner tho. Croissants are the nicest I’ve ever had. Lunch at the snack bar is ridiculous. You can only get 2 items at a time including if you’re ordering for your young children (who are only allowed 1 at a time. To clarify - one snack is 3 chicken nuggets, a hot dog, a burger, chips, toastie or crisps. The TUI reps in the hotel were as helpful as a chocolate teapot. No staff appear to be first aid trained which is very helpful when your child falls onto a metal pole sticking out the ground at the foam party. Hotel refused to even apologise for their negligence. Cocktails are not good. Entertainment team were up beat but the evening entertainment was a string of singers, some good and some really not, who pretty much sang the same songs. Not very entertaining. Overall, we didn’t pay much as booked last minute. If id paid full price, id be asking for my money back.
